What exactly are DNS records?
Propagation: How Long Does it Take?
Nameserver changes typically take 24 to 48 hours before they start working fully. This period is called propagation, or how long it takes for root name servers and cache records across the entire web to update your website's DNS information. Because of propagation, not all visitors will find your website initially. They may see your old site until DNS propagates.
A lot of factors determine how long it will take for the new nameserver changes to become active. A user's physical location, internet service provider and luck might play a part. This is not something that we can control. When propagation completes, your site will appear on our server, and your email will be fully functional.
My Domain Is With Another Company, How Can I Manage It
Your domain service provider will often give you an interface that allows you to manage your domain. Some providers may limit your access or require you to contact them in order to make any changes to your domain. To help you out, we have found the contact information for several popular domain service providers.
You may also be able to find your domain provider's contact information by using a Whois Lookup.
